IncidentMonitor™ Event Management Software

Event Management Software Objective according to ITIL® Service Operation - SO 4.1.2. To detect events, make sense of them and determine the appropriate control action; communicate operational information as well as warnings and exceptions; basis for automating many routine Operations Management activities; provide a way of comparing actual performance and behaviour against design standards and Service Level Agreements. The Service Desk can now be completely integrated with the infrastrucutre of the organization. ITIL Event Management utilises IncidentMonitor™ Network Management integration components to offer a comprehensive suite of tools to integrate virtually any network management events.

IncidentMonitor™ Event Management software

IncidentMonitor™ Event Management provides an out of box approach to support the interface to any event management system. Within IncidentMonitor™ Event Management, you will configure the rules to process the event received from the monitoring system.

Event Management supports all options for complete management of the event within IncidentMonitor™, for example:

  • Notifying the appropriate individual,
  • SLAs and OLAs defined to manage the event,
  • Assignment of the event
  • And workflow required to manage the event over its lifecycle.

Event Management is tightly integrated with all ITIL processes, for example when an event is triggered from a Configuration Item (CI), such as an email service, a request can be created in Problem Management and the email service CI will automatically be attached to the problem.

IncidentMonitor™ Event Management will manage updates from the monitoring system to consolidate, disregard or close the request created.
